You can take your old batteries to your local public collection points or back to the place where the batteries were sold. You can return such batteries to us for free after use. Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled and also have one of the chemical symbols

• Cd (=battery contains cadmium),
• Hg (= battery contains mercury) or
• Pb (= battery contains lead).

Lithium batteries and battery packs can only be returned to the collection point in a discharged state. The battery poles need to be isolated with adhesive tape to protect against short circuits on batteries that are not completely discharged.
